"He started weightlifting training in March 2018 and is the only athlete to qualify for the Sri Lanka weightlifting squad for the 2022 youth Olympic achieved the 5th place in the 61 kg weight class at the 2020 youth Asian weightlifting championship in Uzbekistan. He is currently studying in grade 11 at Anagarika Dharmapala college, Thanabaddegama, Elpitiya, Galle."
